Several new laws go into effect in Virginia (WDBJ 7 Roanoke)

Governor Kaine signed more than 880 bills into law this year. Many of them take effect July 1. In order to cut down on traffic at DMV Customer Service Centers, motorists who renew their vehicle registrations online receive a $1 discount. Those who renew in person will pay an extra $5.
